Along busy walkways, sports areas or school environments, the Comendador drinking fountain offers a simple and recognisable moment of pause. Its cylindrical shape and subtle horizontal lines echo classic street furniture and modestly reference industrial heritage. It blends naturally into both historic squares and contemporary urban designs.
The Comendador’s sturdy construction makes it suitable for heavy use in all weather conditions. Thanks to its solid finish and easy-to-use push button, this public space drinking fountain remains reliable and functional for years to come. Continuous access to fresh drinking water supports a healthy and sustainable urban lifestyle.
By default, the fountain is placed at ground level, but an optional step or platform can be added to improve accessibility, for example in areas where children are primary users. This addition can be seamlessly integrated into the site without disrupting the overall appearance.
The underground installation includes cut-outs for water supply and drainage. It is recommended to add a maintenance pit next to the fountain, housing a flow meter, tap and shut-off valve. This setup facilitates routine maintenance while keeping the surface intervention minimal.
The Comendador is a functional drinking solution for public zones — recognisable, durable and adaptable to any spatial context.
Anchoring bolts (not included)
A stable concrete foundation with recesses for water supply and drainage is required for correct installation. A maintenance pit next to the fountain is advised, allowing easy access to the flow meter, shut-off valve and drain. If needed, an integrated step or platform can be added during the planning phase.
The fountain is securely fixed to the concrete. After placement, the connection to the water system is made. Once the push button and water outlet have been tested, the fountain is ready for use in the public space.
