The Lena Abierta Planter is a robust and aesthetically refined planter designed to enhance urban spaces with greenery while maintaining full functionality. With an impressive diameter of 235 cm and a capacity of 2000 liters, this concrete planter provides ample space for medium-sized trees and shrubs. Its dynamic shape, inspired by an inclined cone, creates a striking interplay of light and shadow in the cityscape.
Crafted from high-quality reinforced concrete and reinforced with stainless steel for added stability, the Lena Abierta planter features deep grooves on its surface, enhancing the contrast between light and shadow. The planter is available in a variety of Escofet standard colors, including grey, white, beige, and red, making it adaptable to different urban aesthetics.
The open base of the Lena Abierta allows trees and plants to establish direct contact with the natural soil, promoting healthy root growth and preventing water stagnation. Thanks to its carefully engineered design, the planter can be placed directly on pavement, sand, or soil without requiring additional foundation work.
The Lena Abierta is self-stabilizing and does not require mechanical anchoring. Its significant weight of 1042 kg ensures stable positioning, even in high-traffic urban environments. For optimal water drainage, a layer of geotextile and gravel can be incorporated at the base, preventing soil loss while maintaining structural integrity.
Cast concrete with natural stone aggregates - finish : acid-etched and waterproofed
The Lena Abierta Planter is designed for direct placement on pavement, sand, or soil. Thanks to its self-stabilizing design, no anchoring or foundation is required. The open base allows natural soil integration and provides ample space for root development.
Due to its 1042 kg weight, it is recommended to move the planter using a crane and three polyester slings. This ensures a controlled and safe installation at the desired location. The planter can be positioned in two ways: with the wider side up or down, depending on aesthetic preferences.
For efficient drainage, it is recommended to use a double geotextile layer with an intermediate layer of gravel or porous concrete at the base. This prevents soil erosion and ensures a stable water management system for plant growth.
