The Hydra Bike is a unique addition to the modular Hydra series, designed by Àngels Colom. This multifunctional element combines a bike rack with sleek seating design, making it an ideal solution for urban and semi-public spaces. With its contemporary aesthetic and practical application, the Hydra Bike seamlessly fits into any environment.
Made from reinforced concrete, strengthened with stainless steel, and finished with an etched, water-repellent coating, the Hydra Bike ensures exceptional longevity, withstanding heavy use and various weather conditions. Available in the same colors as the Hydra Banca—such as gray, black, white, and beige—the Hydra Bike creates a consistent and harmonious visual identity in public spaces.
The Hydra Bike is specifically designed to complement the Hydra Banca. In modular configurations, both elements can be combined to form a functional and aesthetic unit. Equipped with built-in slots for bike wheels and a stainless steel eye bolt beneath the seat, the Hydra Bike provides secure bicycle parking while retaining the visual elegance of the Hydra series. This integration allows public spaces to be enhanced with seating and bike parking solutions that are fully in harmony with one another.
The Hydra Bike promotes active mobility by offering cyclists a safe and user-friendly parking solution. At the same time, it strengthens the social function of public spaces by creating areas for rest and gathering. 3 stud bolts M16 x 140 mm
The installation of the Hydra Bike requires a solid foundation and uses the same anchoring technique as the Hydra Banca. Each module is anchored with three M16 x 140 mm screws, secured with epoxy resin in pre-drilled holes with a diameter of 40 mm. Once installed, the feet of the Hydra Bike are sealed all around with mortar or caulk to ensure stability. This installation ensures a safe and long-lasting placement, suitable for high-traffic areas such as bike paths, squares, and city parks.
