The Upper Banco Clo 180 offers a durable and stylish seating solution for public spaces where existing infrastructure is smartly reused. This robust bench with a closed backrest is mounted directly onto concrete retaining walls, low borders, or raised edges. Ideal for squares, transit zones, or city parks where rest, gathering, and ergonomics come together.
The bench is built on a galvanized steel frame (S275JR), designed to withstand heavy use and outdoor conditions. The seat and backrest are made from Kambala wood, a tropical hardwood known for its stability and natural resistance to moisture, fungi, and UV exposure. The slats are finished with a UV-protective glaze that preserves the wood’s warm appearance over time.
The Banco Clo 180’s closed backrest offers added privacy and ergonomic support without appearing bulky. The slatted design provides ventilation and elegance, while its 1800 mm length comfortably accommodates multiple users. The limited spacing between slats helps prevent waste from accumulating underneath the seat — making the bench low-maintenance and discouraging its misuse as a litter area.
The true value of this bench lies in its ability to transform public areas with minimal intervention. By anchoring it onto existing structures, infrastructure is repurposed rather than rebuilt. The Banco Clo 180 is part of Larus’ modular Upper series, which also includes chairs and benches with semi-open backrests. The Upper Banco Clo 180 is mounted on existing concrete elements such as walls, retaining edges or elevated borders. Delivered as a preassembled unit, the bench is anchored on-site using chemical anchors or expansion bolts, depending on the substrate.
The galvanized steel base is fitted with pre-drilled holes for quick alignment and secure installation. A technical sheet with drilling template and anchoring guidelines is included for contractors or municipal crews.
As the Banco Clo 180 is mounted on existing structures, no excavation or foundation work is required. This allows for rapid deployment, making it ideal for urban redevelopments and sustainable refurbishments.
