The Cais drinking fountain brings a subtle nautical reference to the public realm. With its recognisable cylindrical shape and solid presence, the design recalls the bollards and mooring posts found along piers. The fountain not only echoes its name — "Cais" meaning dock — but also suggests a space for water, pause and connection.
Made entirely of robust cast iron, this public space drinking fountain is built to withstand heavy use and all weather conditions. Its solid construction maintains its appearance over the years with minimal maintenance, making it ideal for busy areas such as schoolyards, city parks or cycling routes.
A side push button activates a water jet from the central nozzle. With intuitive handling and ergonomic height, the fountain is accessible to a wide range of users. It offers a brief moment of refreshment without disturbing the flow of the surrounding environment.
The Cais fountain is anchored on a concrete base with integrated cut-outs for piping. A maintenance pit next to the fountain allows easy access to the flow meter, shut-off valve and drain. This setup ensures easy maintenance while preserving the spatial and visual clarity of the site.
The Cais is a fountain with a story — simple, sturdy and refined. Designed to last and to offer fresh water wherever people gather outdoors.
Anchoring bolts (not included)
A flat concrete foundation with appropriate recesses for water supply and drainage is required for installation. It is recommended to provide a maintenance pit next to the fountain to house a flow meter, shut-off valve and drain for future servicing.
The fountain is mounted using a flange system. Once installed, the supply and return lines are connected internally. After testing the push mechanism, the fountain is ready for public use.
