Preparing the foundation
For proper placement of the Twig Concret Respaldo, it is essential to prepare a flat and stable surface. Although anchoring is not required, a solid foundation, such as pavement or a well-compacted gravel bed, ensures the bench remains stable and level. This enhances safety and prevents long-term settling.
Placement using a suitable hoisting system
Due to its significant weight of 1900 kg, the Twig Concret Respaldo must be carefully lifted and installed using a suitable hoisting system. It is recommended to use lifting straps adapted to the bench’s weight. Polyester slings provide a safe and controlled way to position the bench without damage. Ensure the straps are correctly placed under the bench and distribute the load evenly to guarantee a stable and damage-free installation.
Using spacers for modular setups and strap removal
When multiple Twig Concret Respaldo modules are combined, nylon spacers must be used to maintain uniform spacing and an aesthetically pleasing arrangement. These spacers prevent direct contact between the elements, reducing stress on the concrete. Additionally, spacers should be placed under the bench to create sufficient clearance for the safe removal of the lifting straps after placement. This prevents damage to both the bench and the hoisting equipment and ensures a precise finish.
Final inspection and finishing
Once installed, a final check must be performed to ensure the stability and alignment of the bench. If necessary, minor adjustments can be made to optimize its integration into the space. Since Twig Concret Respaldo is designed to be fully freestanding without anchoring, no additional fixing is required. This simplifies the installation process while maintaining flexibility. Once the bench is positioned correctly and the lifting straps have been removed, it is immediately ready for use, providing a robust and comfortable seating solution for public spaces.
