The Twig Concret is an innovative modular seating solution, designed for public spaces such as squares, parks, and campuses. Its distinctive Y-shaped structure allows for dynamic configurations, creating a natural meeting point. With its organic design and versatile placement options, Twig Concret seamlessly integrates into urban environments.
Twig Concret is made of high-quality reinforced concrete, making it resistant to heavy use and various weather conditions. The bench has an etched and waterproofed finish, enhancing both its durability and refined aesthetics. Available in various colors from Escofet’s standard palette, this bench easily adapts to different design visions.
With a robust construction weighing 1750 kg, Twig Concret can be placed freestanding, without the need for anchoring. This makes installation simple and flexible, without requiring major groundwork. Its rounded edges allow multiple modules to be seamlessly connected.
The modular design of Twig Concret encourages social interaction and creates informal gathering spots. It is ideal for public spaces where flexibility and functionality come together in an elegant design. The bench supports an innovative and inclusive urban layout, offering both practical use and aesthetic appeal.
Cast concrete with natural stone aggregates - finish : acid-etched and waterproofed
For proper placement of the Twig Concret, a flat and stable surface is essential. Although anchoring is not required, a solid foundation, such as paving or a well-compacted gravel bed, ensures that the bench remains stable and level. This enhances safety and prevents long-term settling.
Due to its significant weight of 1750 kg, the Twig Concret must be carefully lifted and installed using a suitable hoisting system. It is recommended to use lifting straps that match the bench’s weight. Polyester slings provide a safe and controlled way to position the bench without damage. Ensure the straps are correctly positioned under the bench and evenly distribute the load for stable and damage-free installation.
When multiple Twig Concret modules are combined, nylon spacers are essential for maintaining a uniform and aesthetic arrangement. These spacers ensure even spacing between elements and prevent direct contact, which could cause stress in the concrete. Additionally, spacers must be placed under the bench to create sufficient clearance for the safe removal of the lifting straps after placement. This prevents damage to both the bench and the hoisting equipment and ensures a precise finish.
After placement, a final check should be performed to verify the stability and alignment of the bench. If necessary, minor adjustments can be made to ensure optimal integration into the space. As Twig Concret is fully freestanding without anchors, no additional fixing is required, making installation simple and flexible. Once correctly positioned and the lifting straps have been removed, the bench is immediately ready for use, providing a robust and durable seating solution for public spaces.
