The Abril bench by Escofet brings refined simplicity to urban and recreational settings. This design, created in collaboration with renowned architects Cruz y Ortiz, is a versatile element that harmoniously integrates into both modern and classical urban landscapes. Ideal for plazas, parks, and promenades, the Abril bench offers an inviting seating solution without compromising on style and functionality.
The Abril bench is crafted from etched and water-repellent concrete, making it resistant to heavy use and all weather conditions. The use of recycled concrete in certain variations makes this bench an eco-friendly choice, perfectly aligned with the sustainability goals of contemporary urban planning.
The unique design combines a subtly curved seat with sturdy side supports, creating an architectural balance that is both aesthetically appealing and functional. Measuring nearly three meters in width, the Abril provides ample seating space for multiple users, while its neutral forms evoke an open, inviting appearance. Available in a selection of standard colors, including grey, black, and beige, this bench can easily complement its surroundings.
With its solid construction and a weight of 1.100 kg, the Abril bench is perfectly suited for freestanding placement. This simplifies installation without requiring anchoring or complex fastening systems, increasing flexibility in location selection.
The Abril bench does not require anchoring and can be placed freestanding. For installation, it is recommended to unload the bench using a forklift or crane, depending on the circumstances. When using a forklift, wooden supports should be placed to evenly distribute the load and prevent damage to the concrete. For hoisting with a crane, slings should be positioned at least two meters apart to ensure even weight distribution. Place the bench carefully in the desired location, ensuring the surface is stable and level to avoid unnecessary stress on the structure.
