The Comunitario 300 is a backless bench designed by Diana Cabeza in 2002. This design combines simplicity and elegance with a strong emphasis on durability and versatility, making it ideal for urban and semi-public spaces such as plazas, parks, and pedestrian zones.
The bench is constructed with a sturdy galvanized steel frame coated with a durable Oxiron finish in black. The seat slats are crafted from 100% FSC-certified solid Iroko wood, treated with protective oil to maintain its natural appearance and provide weather resistance.
With a length of 300 cm and a weight of 302 kg, the Comunitario 300 is stable and secure even without anchoring. For additional stability, anchoring points are provided, making it suitable for both temporary and permanent installations.
Thanks to weather-resistant materials, the Comunitario 300 requires minimal maintenance. The wood naturally weathers to an elegant silver-gray patina. For those who prefer to retain its original color, periodic application of protective oil is sufficient.
The Comunitario 300 is delivered in two parts: the steel frame and wooden slats. All necessary mounting hardware and clear instructions are included to ensure quick and easy assembly.
While anchoring is not required due to the bench’s substantial weight, anchoring points are available for added stability. This makes installation suitable for a variety of surfaces, including concrete, gravel, or grass.
The steel frame features a corrosion-resistant Oxiron coating, and the wooden slats are treated to resist UV rays and moisture. This ensures the bench retains its functionality and aesthetic appeal, even under heavy use and diverse weather conditions.
