Redes is a semi-vegetative paving system made from reinforced vibro-moulded concrete, designed to combine stability with green integration. Its open structure, featuring 50% hard surface and 50% grass coverage, ensures natural drainage while preventing erosion from pedestrians and light vehicles.
Each tile, measuring 60 x 60 x 10 cm and weighing 50 kg, facilitates rainwater infiltration, reducing the risk of flooding. The high load-bearing capacity supports occasional service vehicles up to 900 kg per wheel without damaging the grass surface.
Redes features a mesh-like structure composed of three concrete platforms connected by ribs beneath the vegetation. This design promotes optimal grass development and ensures even growth within the open spaces. With a 50% permeability coefficient, Redes supports the natural water cycle and prevents surface runoff.
The non-slip surface and durable concrete structure make Redes suitable for long-term use in both urban and natural settings.
Redes is installed on a compacted sand bed (4-6 cm thick), placed over a 95% compacted soil foundation following UNE 103-501-94 standards. This ensures stability and long-lasting performance.
After installation, the gaps between the paving units are filled with topsoil to encourage grass growth. Alternatively, the spaces can be filled with sand, depending on the intended use and visual preference.
Redes' robust concrete composition resists wear, frost, and heavy loads. Its design promotes sustainable, green, and water-permeable urban surfaces.
